Message Good question. With boost pipes off I'm leery of blasting the stuff everywhere even when I covered everything back up as much as possible. I used my strong shop vac as much as I could but it's really tight between the injector rail and plenum such that the smallest nozzle really doesn't do it justice either. And it's still tight between the lower plenum and the heads once the plenum is off. I really need a small yet super powerful vacuum be able to make some headway, especially with all the oil around, before taking everything apart. Plus recognizing that I AM taking everything apart will give me better access to clean everything up, right?

This whole time I've been constantly balancing cleaning things up at the risk of distributing the shrapnel around further with simply pressing on with great caution.

Now that I see that regardless the shrapnel has made it down to the valves I'm stuck until I get a compressed air tank.

The real question is whether it might not have been better to dremel the plenum while it's off the car. That's exactly what I did on my NA! But to get the right cut angles you have to take the plenum on and off at least a dozen times going that route, which is tedious and painful too.
